At Marina Bay, we envisioned the waterfront promenade as a continuous landscape framework that reconnects the city to the water. The design organizes the waterfront into a sequence of generous pedestrian spaces, planted edges, and shaded promenades, creating a comfortable and inviting public realm along the bay.

Along Marina Boulevard, a linear promenade is structured around the central promontory, which extends towards the water to frame views across Marina Bay and establish a clear pedestrian route. Along Bayfront Link, grey granite paving and rows of palms establish a strong linear rhythm, guiding pedestrians through the promenade towards Marina Bay Sands. Closer to the water, timber decking gradually replaces the granite paving, creating a more softer transition between the urban edge and the water.

With Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade, pedestrians are able to experience a continuous journey by foot stretching more than 0.5km while enjoying changing views and connections to the surrounding cityscape.
