Zhongshan Park

Zhongshan Park is dedicated to the first president of the People's Republic of China: Dr. Sun Yat-Sen who is also known as the “Father” of Modern China. Situated between hotels that line both sides of the park, the site planning established a connection to the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall across Ah Hood Road while balancing the programmatic elements. Paths weave through a tapestry of lawn, water bodies and trees. Three heritage listed Banyan trees were also preserved and incorporated in the design.
