In a neighbourhood where the scale is residential, the new building will not overwhelm. It must present a pleasing neighbourly face and fit in seamlessly. The treatment does not intimidate its neighbours. At the street level, the appearance is of a two-storey building. Its expression shall be reminiscent of the Singapore shop house. The majority of the building which houses the residential components is set back to break up the five storey building into a high one-story building in front and three storeys in the back, separated by the garden space above filled with trees. The edge of this single-story building is festooned with cascading planting and vines to soften the appearance of the building.
