The International Health Town is a mixed-use development project for active ageing in China. The development comprises of an experience centre, healthcare facilities, a four-star high-rise hotel, four residential towers, an activity centre and a facility centre. The architecture and landscape planning embrace barrier-free, pedestrian-centered design principles to encourage active ageing and well-being for the residents. The landscape design creates an environment encourages physical activities such as jogging and swimming in a safe and accessible environment. The plants for the project reflect the abundant flora of Kunming and were select for their sensory appeal.
